Notes/Message/Description:    Silver Glen Springs
Experience one of the most beautiful sections of the St. Johns River and swim in a crystal clear spring.  The trip starts at Deland and passes through approximately 15 miles of Ole Florida scenery with virtually no human habitation until we reach the town of Astor.  We cruise through the small quaint town of Astor and on to Lake George for a 3 mile crossing into Silver Glen Springs.
After entering the springs we will anchor as close together as possible either on the center area or along the shore line.  You will need a bow and stern anchor !  The water is clear and cold; enjoy a swim and make a walk/swim over into the actual spring for great snorkeling and diving.  Bring an on-board lunch.  Many people bring grills for those great outdoor hamburger and hot dogs.
Caution:  Alcohol is not permitted and the area is patrolled.
Make sure you bring your inflatable rafts, water toys and most comfortable floating chair.  Also bring a little cash to purchase a snow cone or a bag of boiled peanuts from the floating vendor.
Departure Location:  State Rd 44 - Deland ramp.  Directions:  Interstate 4 to State Rd 44 exit and go west approximately 8 miles until just before the St. Johns River Bridge.  The ramp is to the right just prior to bridge.  Be sure tp prepare to launch before entering ramp back down area.
Departure Time:  10:00am Sharp from ramp.  Please call if late (407)810-1314 Gary's cell.

Cruisemaster is Gary Yeomans.
